Chapter 27, Serving Two Men, Betraying Both
Being the center of 2 men’s fluttering
guppy tails assured my desirability. While empowering, however, darting back
and forth reciprocating the attention of each stressed me. Segregating my faithful
from cheating wife shadows caused exposure paranoia.
Hubby was suspicious and insecure. He played detective, sought hysterical bonding then would suddenly accuse me of seeing another. I denied there was anyone else, meet his sexual bonding and told him he was irrationally jealousy
Like a spy I structured separate lives to ensure there was nothing he could confirm but constantly worried I forgot some detail, a little detail, which would lead to exposure. He assumed if there was someone else it was someone at work. I encouraged this dead end suspicion by feeding him names of men at work, dressed up for work on Mondays and Wednesdays and wore old clothes when I called in sick Fridays.
During the work week our interaction
was a kiss as he left for work and I went back to bed and a kiss when he got
home from work and I left for work. Conversations then were limited to hurried exchanges
about children and the house.
"Nooners" were easy to
hide with him at work, their short duration, a shopping explanation if he
called home and the incongruity of "nooner" sex with kid’s school
going and coming and my sleep schedule. Ever careful, I first drove through the
Mall parking lot near Edward’s apartment and then to a quiet residential street
to see if I was followed. I never was. I always got back home in time for the
Anything interesting which occurred with Edward was old news by the time we could talk and easy to remember not to remember by then. The “nooner” difficulty was sleep deprivation.
Evening dates were dangerous. They
required planning, stealth and back up cover. Edward changed his one night a
week off to Friday. I called in sick before hubby came home, put on my work
clothes and smock, kissed him on his arrival home and left. I first drove
through the security gate at work, waited 15 minutes, left and drove to the
Bayshore Freeway, took a last minute exit, then meandered a bit aimlessly
before going to the apartment to keep from being followed.
Before returning home I showered to remove
Edward’s scent, dabbed on perfume, put back on my work smock and clothes and
got home between 3 to 6 AM to find hubby sound asleep. If he awoke and wanted me I laid back, stared
at him above, commingled images of him with the security of our home and family
and climaxed, even if faked.
